My name is Jon Rosenberger and I am a concert photographer working under the moniker of PhotoFooFoo. Capturing images has been a passion of mine since high school. That passion has allowed me to look at this amazing technicolor world from unique angles and my art, created with the lens and shutter, lies between, astride, and amongst those angles. The sheer energy and positivity that is created in today's music festival and concert scene gives me inspiration to capture and share these fleeting moments. Electric Forest, Hoxeyville Music Festival, Aiken Bluegrass Festival, Wheatland Music Festival, The Michigan Irish Music Festival are events that I experienced through my lens. Bands such as Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, Railroad Earth, The Infamous Stringdusters, Shovels and Rope, and The Devil Makes Three are regular subjects.
My home is near Detroit, Michigan but I travel widely for concerts, festivals and events.
For me, photography is about connecting with others. I am truly inspired by sharing experiences and capturing the fun and excitement friends and fans create while attending a festival or concert. I focus my attention on people; their energy, their joy.
Without people, a show is just a outporing of notes that no one can hear.
Photographing concerts and festivals allows me unique access to some of the most gifted musicians on the planet. Without these amazing artists to color our lives and draw us all together, life would be such a tedious affair. Thank you to all of you who allow me to capture what you do and present it to the world in my own way.
